Meet our School Director:

Lisa Meier

Greetings! I am honored to serve as the school director of Cornerstone Christian School. My family and I reside in Windsor, where we have been blessed to be a part of this local community for nearly twenty years! My husband, Todd, my youngest daughter, Gabby, and I actively attend and serve at Liberty Live Church in Smithfield.

With almost 30 years in education, I have embraced various roles within the public school system in Isle of Wight and Hampton. As an elementary classroom teacher, instructional coach, and administrative aide, I have gathered invaluable experience that I’m eager to share with the Cornerstone community.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Psychology with an elementary education certification, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership (K-12). I am passionate about Christian, classical education and I can’t wait to see how God will work through our school community!

Board of Directors

Our founding board-members come from various backgrounds and offer expertise in a range of fields. What we all have in common is our love for Jesus and desire to make him known to the next generation while serving families in our local community and beyond.

  • Joanna James

    PRESIDENT

    Joanna James is married to Caleb James with three children. They are residents of Smithfield and joyfully attend Deer Park Fellowship in Newport News. She previously served as a Board Chair for a pregnancy center in Falls Church. She works part-time fundraising for a pro-life organization where she enjoys the opportunity to ask people for money.

  • Blake Wingfield

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Blake and his wife Hannah have four children – Leland, Clara, Holden, and Shiloh. Blake grew up outside of Lynchburg, Virginia, and he attended James Madison University where he studied geographic and geological science. Blake earned his M.Div. from Westminster Seminary California in May, 2016. He has worked on staff as a pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church since February, 2017. 

  • Alexi Snodgrass

    Alexi Snodgrass and her family of 5 have called Isle of Wight home for the last ten years. She is a pediatric physician assistant in Franklin and is passionate about the spiritual, physical and educational well being of all children. She has the best church family at Hope Presbyterian and an amazing “village” of local friends and family. She is eager to serve on the board because she sees God working to build this community based on our shared calling as parents.

  • Austin Page

    TREASURER

    Austin is a native of Charlotte, NC, but has called Smithfield "home" since June of 2018. He has been in full-time ministry for over 10 years and is currently the Ministry Systems Pastor at Liberty Live Church. He and his wife Hannah have been married since 2014 and have a daughter named Molly. 

  • Emily Perkins

    SECRETARY

    Emily Perkins is a dedicated wife, teacher, and mother of three, with a deep passion for both her family and her career. She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from Old Dominion University. Her strong faith is central to her life, guiding her both in and out of the classroom. She views teaching as an opportunity to inspire and nurture the next generation with love, patience, and joy.

  • Chelsea Lanford

    Chelsea and her family live in Smithfield, VA. Chelsea is an active member at Liberty Live Church and currently works as the Office Coordinator for Hope PCA. As a current homeschool mom, a former elementary public-school inclusion teacher & a professional home organizer, Chelsea is very passionate about ensuring that the school atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive for all students' learning styles. She is eager to serve the Lord and her community in this way!
